Signs and Angel Numbers

In this blog post, we will discuss the concept of signs. I am well aware that most individuals in the spiritual community are very attached to signs and what they mean, and that’s perfectly fine! I ask that when reading this, you keep an open mind and don’t think I’m telling you what to believe in or what things mean or don’t mean. I’m simply reminding you not to put power in anything external. You are the sign; you are the altar where the magic happens; you are the answered prayer. It’s been you all along! Now, let us begin.

Earlier today, I was thinking about the concept of “angel numbers” and the idea of signs as a whole—or as most people tend to say, “coincidences.” I wondered, “Who even decided that repeating numbers were angel numbers or signs from the universe that you’re on the right path?” As fun as seeing them may be to most, they actually have no significant meaning. There’s no proof that “333” means “growth and expansion.” There’s no proof that seeing words or phrases aligned with what you’re “manifesting” means that it’s, in fact, coming to you.

As most of you know, I come from a religious background—and so do most of the individuals who I encounter who are also learning that the truth of life is not what we’ve been taught to believe. Therefore, I find it important to back up what I say and research with scripture. Now, maybe I missed the Bible study lesson where this was discussed, but I don’t recall ever hearing or reading anything written in the Bible about angel numbers. This then leads me to conclude that these were man-made concepts.

I don’t know about you, but I will not let man-made concepts make me wonder if my desires are coming or not. I know what I discussed with my God within. How can I ever let anything or anyone allow me to question it or believe in it any more than I do, simply because their numbers say so? As it is written, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” (Mark 11:24). It never said, “When you’re done praying for it, go out and look for signs that it’s coming,” did it? No, it didn’t. In fact, it is written in Matthew 12:38-39: “Then some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to him, ‘Teacher, we want to see a sign from you.’ He answered, ‘A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.’” Dearest readers, you don’t need the signs you seek. It’s all within. It has always been within. Don't look at them as confirmation, but rather view them as spirit making room in your life for them to appear and showing you the progress. I like to simply smile and say "thank you" when I notice these things because I know, whether I see a "sign" or not, God is always working on whatever needs to happen behind the scenes to make the desire appear for me. And He does it every single time once I release my grip on it and hand it over to Him.

Now, just as I did with the previous blog post, I will leave you with final reminders. When you commune with God, your inner God, find peace in knowing that He knows what is in your heart. We are reminded not to worry, not to waver, but to “Be still, and know…” (Psalm 46:10). When you are in the midst of a storm, remember that you, too, can command it: “Peace, be still” (Mark 4:39). “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (John 14:27). Before you even question if you have the ability to command the situation to be still or speak life over your desires, I remind you of Philippians 2:5: “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” Before you question whether you are worthy or deserving of what you are asking for or if you are capable of even calling it forth, I remind you of John 14:12-14, which states: “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” Let me be clear: I'm not saying signs are bad or insignificant; in fact, they can be beautiful and fun. However, the crucial point is this: don't let signs become the sole foundation of your belief in yourself, your vision, or in God. Release your grip on them. While you hold steadfast to your desire, release your attachment to the specific way you believe it should unfold. Now, go out in love and create wonders.

For those seeking to explore the depths of their spiritual journey and self-empowerment further, my book, The Power of Alignment, builds upon the ideas shared today, guiding you toward a profound understanding of your capabilities.

Much Love,

Lisa

I loved your perspective. I agree that we don't need a sign. Most do not realize that when they seek for a sign it is a testament to their like of faith because we walk by faith and not by sight. We do not go by appearances but trust what is within and not anything on the outside.
